LB Lofts - Nitra

Classic panel flat houses from socialist era make vast part of todays residential areas in slovak towns and cities. At the time of their completion it was predicted that material can withstand for fifty years. By insulating of exterior walls we hopefully prolonged durability of old concrete by another 20-30 years. That is enough time to invest some money to enlarge original building and utilize it a long enough to get that investment back with nice profit. 
A project with working title LB lofts represents addition of six flats of various sizes on top of four-stories-tall flathouse from seventies. The extension with its disassembled cubic volume brings some playfullness into grizzly and frigid architectural composition.
